After driving over 600 miles our first day we spent our first night at The Warbonnett Hotel in Butte
and got up the next morning and drove
to the Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park
Our tour guide took us on a long hike up to
the entrance to the caverns
Once inside we had to speakquietly so as not to disturb the bats
The further down we go the colderit gets. The bats don't like the cold
thankfully
The kids and I were goofing around so much I don't even think I heard fromour tour guide what the heck these
formations are made of
Going deeper and deeper into middle earthI hope we don't run into Gollum down here
The size of these things was amazing
It was very chilly and damp
No flash on this onePretty cool
