THE RRHOIDS
THEN AND NOW
In December of 1986 the rRhoids had their first gig.
Our guitar player Ken Partlow was in a Book Club
and they were having a Christmas party.
The rRhoids were asked to play.
I think we only knew three songs at that time
and one of them was a Christmas song.
That was our first gig.
Our last (?) gig was
~July 12, 2008 ~
'THE BIG DADDY TOUR'
Ken retired from his orthopedic practice
and the rRhoids played at his party for old times sake.
These are some of my very favorite people on this planet.
We had some really good times together.
Enjoy this blast from the past!

a picture of the women dancing in front of him
and going absolutely nuts when he took his shirt off.
He eventually threw it into the crowd.

The Book Club gig

This was the first pre-function function of many.
I believe this is the first gig we had rRhoid juice:
Vodka frozen in a chunk of ice!
Courtesy of Bill-rRhoid
from the OR were getting together once in a while to jam
on their instruments.
Debbi heard me singing to the radio in the OR one day
and apparently thought I could sing and asked
me if I wanted to join them somtime to sing with them.
I had never sung in front of people much less through a
microphone.
I remember thinking I sounded odd through a microphone the first time.
Well, I have since gotten over that and the rest is history.
It has been one fun ride with these guys.

What key they are in, the arrangement, etc.

(I know Debbi would disagree)
Way more than the three we started out with for the Book Club.
For The Big Daddy Tour we were able to scratch our not-so-favorites.
We scratched 'Love Shack'. Steve sings that one. But that's not
why we scratched it.
I promise.
